Pine and Gilmore used "the theatre" as a metaphor throughout to indicate the necessary shift in thinking required to engage customers in the experience of one’s choosing. In economy experiences research the writers focus on creating memorable and impressive experiences for customers rather than only deliver common services. Not only did the writers devote to corporate players, but they also believe every staff, from the CEO of a major to the font employees, etc have an essential role to play if the business is to thrive. Based on the theory of Pine and Gilmore (1999), it is indicated that the circle of economic operations surrounds manufacture and preparation for the market from Commodities, Goods to Services. As usual, the clients estimate high-quality services rather than standard products since services take responsible for satisfying the rest of the customers’ requirements which they do not prefer to do although they can finish them.

1. From my point of view, human connection is definitely a business because of some reasons. First of all, a successful hotel is based on many elements, such as unique architecture, privileged location and service quality. However, understanding deeply their customers' demand and satisfying the requirements of guests are considered to be the most crucial items to create a good relationship between people and hoteliers. Therefore, the ways hoteliers treat customers will reflect one part of the potential to become a fulfilled enterprise in the future.

2. Based on Wali (2017), black-ish is an activity that staffs who work in the service industry take care of customers carefully using their products by showing the favorite programs or hobbies of clients. Hoteliers, for example, supply memorable experiences to their guests and not only make them be willing to come back to their products but also enlarge their brand to others.

3. To be honest, the core concept of hospitality is to meet the needs of customers and to make sure that they can immerse themselves in firms' services. Furthermore, hospitality is also an art industry due to their differential customers care and complaints handling. Relied on high-end service, hospitality enterprises can both expand their brand all around the world and get the achievement as soon as possible.

1.   According to Telfar’s article, hospitableness can be shown in a variety of ways, for example, by benevolence, public-spiritedness, compassion or affectionateness. However, a person does not need to become hospitable because of these characteristics. Of course, in life, a person can not satisfy everybody or change his mind/ activity because others want him to be like that. In my opinion, it is reasonable to understand that hospitableness is optional; however, to the commercial host, hospitableness is considered to be a priority due to customers’ demand and features of this field that satisfies others.

2.   There are some methods that I can prepare for my career in hospitality. Firstly, I have to try to pick as much as experience to show my present and future knowledge, skills, and abilities. Secondly, it is very important to enrich our workplaces because I can find job opportunities in different industries that require similar to hospitality. Finally, I have to learn how to think about what I will obtain from this job that will help develop my own human capital and enhance my career.

3.   Firstly, professional in the hospitality industry is shown by the observation of the characteristics and behavior of an individual that is the way how you treat with your customers and colleagues. Then,  a level of knowledge and formal qualifications are also the standards to judge the profession of people. Last but not least, the most important characteristic that proves the professionalism is confidence. It is clearly demonstrated when people cope with a wide variety of situations. Peter Jones (2018) said that “confidence comes from the development of skills, knowledge, and understanding based on different forms of learned behavior including learning from experience”.

Hello everyone! This is Annie from Vietnam. I just graduated from the Banking Academy of Vietnam in July. Although my major in university is Corporate Finance that is probably not relevant to hospitality, I decided to study master of International Hotel Management because I want to experience in a new field that I do not have to sit in front of the screen all working day with a lot of numbers.

In this unit, I hope that I can get knowledge about guests experience to understand how to satisfy customers and cope with complains of them. Because working with people is much complicated and difficult than working with statistics, I expect that after finishing this subject, I can have confidence to communicate with other people and make them feel happy when they use our services.

In my opinion, guests experience is aimed at how to organize the relationship between customers and staff, the tackle ways staff face with trouble in the working environment. Moreover, how to make customers remember our services, come back to us and recommend us to others is one of the purpose of this unit.

Thank you!
