A service can be called delighted when unexpected experiences happen. For example, when a service provider serves its customer his favorite coffee even before he has asked for that, he will automatically be overwhelmed from his service. As in this fast-moving era, no one has time to remember anyone else's likings, and when a service provider actually cares for his customers' demands and likings it will definitely create an impression in the minds of the customers that there is someone who cares for their likings and disliking.

1.   Is human connection a business? What do you think?
Yes, I do believe that making human connections indirectly ends up with making more business for your hotel. In the hotel industry, it is believed that we are human first and the hoteliers second. Which is the only key to the success of our industry. Even in all sorts of businesses, human connection is there. One cannot ignore human connections if he wants to survive in this industry.  In addition, when talking about the hospitality industry it is all humans. If you know how to deal with different emotions and personalities then this industry is for you. It is a human nature that when you acknowledge a guest you are making him feel special. Therefore, if you are recognizing a guest who is coming for the second time and you are providing him with all those needs and things that he had on his last stay, it means you are creating business indirectly. As when a guest will realize that you remembered his needs and are putting all your efforts to make his stay comfortable then he will definitely would love to stay longer with you and even he will certainly love coming to you again and again. Therefore, in this way you have made profit for your hotel.


2.   What’s an example of a Black-ish moment?
The blackish moment is putting an extra effort beyond castes and colors to make someone happy and to make someone’s day special through some extra efforts.

3.    What is your personal interpretation of the concept of hospitality?
Hospitality means being hospitable to the guests, you are dealing with. To me humanity comes above all. We all are humans and we all want to be recognized, loved, respected  and welcomed by someone at all the stages of our lives. Therefore, whenever a person steps in a hotel he expect all these emotions to be fulfilled, because hospitality covers all these characteristics. When you are identifying a guest or when you are putting all the efforts to make someone’s stay memorable you are doing hospitality.

1 Telfer has defined the word hospitableness as a quality of being friendly and welcoming. He has clarified the difference between a private host and a commercial host. A private host is hospitable to some chosen set of people, without any intention to earn money whereas in commercial hospitality the guests are un-chosen and the hospitality is being provided in return to the payment a guest has made. Then he has focused on being an honest host which means that there must not be a motive behind being hospitable, instead a host must be hospitable by heart and not by any intention. Because a motive deteriorate the actual meaning of hospitality.

2 Hospitality is one of the fastest growing industries of society. It does not only offer great salaries but it also offers a great career as the growth rate is very high in this industry. To step into the industry one must be having some sort of previous experience. Also the salary acts as a great motivator because if you are being paid well only then you will give your best to achieve company’s goals. Even this industry opens up various ways for personal growth as well, because when you will be working with different set of people on daily basis you will get to know how to manage them efficiently and it will adds on to your skill set.

3 Professionalism is defined in terms of how someone is dealing with his colleagues, customers and his general behavior when on the workplace. One of the factors that works as the judgment tool while talking about professionalism is CONFIDENCE. It is how someone behaves when in a group which is familiar to him as well as at a place totally new to him. Other some factors would be, how good a person is when taking individual decisions or how a person works in the professional team or the level of service which a person provides to his customers.
