Hello everyone, my name is Allen. I am from Chiayi, which is a small city in Taiwan. I really like having delicious food and travelling around. In my country, I enjoy driving a car to different cities and try various cuisine.

I had some working experience in the hospitality area. I like to meet people and have a chat with others. Therefore, the most interesting job for me is a receptionist. When I was a receptionist in a hotel, I always enjoy my working. Serving customers what they need and giving them useful information could make their journey more complete and happier, which also makes me feel satisfied during the job.

Through this unit, I keen on to have an internship in a 5-stars hotel. There are plenty of working opportunities in Melbourne. Using support from professors and all kind of unit resources, I believed that could make me successfully to achieve my goals.

Hi! My name is Agustin Jake Baniqued, from Philippines. I finished bachelor of science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management back in the Philippines in 2018. I worked as a cashier/marketing/captain waiter in a bar named Comic Hall for 4 months from March 2019 to July 2019.

I expect to gather huge information from this course about managing an establishment, particularly on hotels, restaurants and bars. Not only that, I also look forward to elevate my skills to become a great hospitality employee.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hello everyone, my name is Ashley. I was born and grew up in Vietnam. I have earned a double bachelor’s degree majored in Economics Investment and English Interpreting and Translation at Danang University.

Basically, Guest Experience is inexorably linked to the brand image because it reflects how guests truly think and feel after using a particular service or product. That’s the reason why Hotel and Guest Experience knowledge is an essential foundation for any hoteliers in the first place.

I really enjoy the practicality in the unit, so I desire to put the theory into practice through examples and activities in class. For instance, the training exercises that simulate the real situation in the hotel working environment would be a useful way for us to earn more experience and prepare ourselves to solve any issues in the hospitality industry.

Hello everyone. Greetings of the day! I am Prathamesh Samant, from Mumbai India. I have worked as a M.I.C.E Sales Supervisor at The Oberoi Group (The Oberoi Hotel Mumbai)

From this unit, I would really love to learn about how to acknowledge and handle guests in different situations, who might have had a good or a bad experience, and what can be done to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

Guest experience according to me is the utmost important factor that portraits the overall image of the hotel/restaurant or an organization in the mind of any individual or a group.
Thank you.

As of my experience, I am really into guest wants and needs and what are their expectations so as this unit really going to help me a lot and enhance my interpersonal skills leading to fulfilling the guest satisfaction. Furthermore, I am able to gain practical knowledge and the hotel scenario internationally.

In addition, I would like to learn the check-in and check-out process as they are the first people (expression) to the last expression in guest experience.

Well, I am Rinji Sherpa, a permanent resident of Solukhumbu, Nepal. I was born on 26th August 1993. Currently I am studying Master of International Hotel Management from Blue Mountain International Hotel Management School at Torrens University Melbourne, Australia.

In my opinion to study of Hotel and Guest Experience, I hope this unit provides full knowledge of Hospitality skill and the relationship between Guests and Staffs as well as services.

Similarly this unit provides us how to use software like property management system (PMS), point of sale (POS) and opera. This kind of software is usually used in Hotel line for check in/out and booking for walk in guests.

Hello everyone, my name is Thao and I am from Viet Nam. I have never worked in a hotel before but I had nearly two years working in 2 Japanese restaurants in New Zealand. Therefore, I can have an idea of working and dealing with customers. It is hard sometimes but its worth it.
After this unit, I hope to successfully interact and serve customers by understanding their behaviours, attitudes. To be successful in this unit, I would read the theories, understand the terms and watch videos regarding each topics. And I hope the lecturer would be there to answer the questions and explain when I face difficulties in understanding the contents of the topics.
Thank you.

Hello everyone, this is Chloe. I am from Vietnam. For the past 4 years, I have settled myself in studying Accounting and Finance because of my parents' expectation. However, I believed that I should step out of my comfort zone to discover my potential. I chose Hospitality which is a completely new path and I do hope that it works.

By doing this course, I aim to gain a great deal of practical knowledge related to guests experience. In details, I am urged to explore and understand the essence of the hospitality industry to fulfil customers' desire which is one of the most significant goals.

The concept of guests experience refers to the expectation of a particular customer regarding what services he/she is about to encounter. From the providers' perspectives, they would like to manage those expectations to ensure that customers are not only satisfied with the service offering but also engaged in a memorable way. Hence, customers' retention and referrals can potentially be achievable.

Mabuhay! My name is Jacque and I'm from the sunny island of Cebu, Philippines. My career background includes serving as a marketing, branding and public relations strategist within the hospitality, retail, and creative industries for over five years. For the past three years, I've had the privilege of working as a hotelier in a charming five-star resort in Cebu.

Having worked in different industries, I have come to realize that the hospitality industry is by far my favorite. The perks of the job are more colorful than in most careers—it’s anything but dull. It allows a great deal of freedom, creativity, and a unique opportunity to meet and interact with people—both guests and colleagues—from all around the world.

During my time as a hotelier, I've been mainly working behind-the-scenes (or back-of-house). Through this course, I would love to learn more about the best practices in delighting guests, be exposed to actual hotel scenarios, be trained in providing excellent guest experience, and develop my interpersonal skills.

I'm excited to begin this new course with all of you! :)
